Over the years, with the help of music impresario Mark Ede, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome singer-songwriters and touring artists from across the world to The Anchor. Our live music nights take place in the room just above the bar, making for an intimate setting where you can sit back and enjoy some seriously good music up close. From established names to artists you might be discovering for the first time, it’s a special little space to hear live music in Nayland.

Anchor Sip & Paint Sessions

Join us at The Anchor for a Paint & Sip evening with The Funky Easel. Grab a drink, pick up a paintbrush and enjoy a couple of hours creating your own canvas, with step-by-step guidance along the way. No experience needed - just come along, have a go and enjoy doing something a little different. Upcoming dates: 17th November & 8th December.

Proms At The Anchor

Join us for an evening of live music with the City of Colchester Band, a 28-piece brass band performing traditional Proms favourites and well-known singalong classics on our terrace.
