Smokehouse

 

On a visit to the Anchor Inn you may see our chefs stocking the smokehouse with meat from the Heritage Farm, locally sourced fish, a wide range of game, cheeses, vegetables and much, much more.

Our smokehouse takes excellent produce and through the cold smoking process adds a delicious depth to the favour.

We use a traditional method known as cold smoking.  During the smoking process we mix dried herbs from the kitchen garden with hardwood chippings, this method gives a more consistent depth of flavour.

     

One of the signature dishes at the Anchor Inn is the Smoked Platter which will give you the opportunity to sample a selection of our delicious smoked produce.
